During the times I've painted, I quite often listen to music. I like different types of music, either it's classic or today's pop. Music evokes powerful emotions in me. Instantaneously, I'm transported to a different time of my life. Like what Bob Marley says "one good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain..."
At the end of my painting sessions, I feel invigorated, light and happy...and I want to share this revelation and experience with you
My vision is to combine creativity with upbeat music from the 70's and 80's to a warm, welcoming environment for up to 30 people at this venue. The idea is to "soothe the soul" through art and sound. This program will be open to anyone who wishes to experience relief from the effects of stress, depression, and isolation. It is through this connectedness in the atmosphere of rhythm and sound that people will be offered tips to reduce mental strain caused by whatever they are dealing with while painting. This program will have the added benefit of bringing people together to share their stories with one another if they wish. Keep posted for future workshops.
